Middlesbrough fans all agree on Emmanuel Latte Lath’s performance v Leeds United

Middlesbrough suffered a 4-3 defeat to Leeds United on Monday evening in a thrilling affair at the Riverside Stadium.

Michael Carrick‘s side were unfortunate not to pick up a point, at the very least, as they put the top-two chasing side under the cosh for large spells.

It was Boro’s first defeat since the beginning of March, though, one of the best performances of the season.

Emmanuel Latte Lath netted a brace and Middlesbrough fans are all saying the same thing about his display.

Latte Lath has been in electric form of late and took his two goals last night expertly, with the second, particularly impressive.

The 25-year-old has now scored nine goals on his last 10 outings, taking his tally to 16 across all competitions.

Middlesbrough fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, last night and all said the same thing about his sensational performance.

One fan wrote: “Latte Lath was superb and will be an even better next season…….so proud of the way we competed tonight.”

Another added: “Emmanuel Latte Lath is brilliant. Pacey, chaotic, a hell of a finisher and even better, someone who leads the team from the front. I love watching him geeing up his teammates and making demands of them – he’s turning into a truly prolific striker and I love it.”

A third posted: “Latte Lath is bagging 25+ Goals next season.”

“Might not have won, but great performance by the lads there. Latte Lath will be a monster next season and Gilbert definitely deserves more minutes, onwards we go,” another stated.

A fifth said: “Absolutely can’t wait for next season, just hope we can hold onto Rav, Hackney and Latte Lath in the summer.”

Emmanuel Latte Lath could be the Championship’s top scorer next season

Latte Lath seems to have found his feet in the Championship after a pretty quiet start to his career on Teesside.

The former Atalanta forward is brimming with confidence and everything he touches seems to turn to gold at the moment.

As one Boro fan alluded to, he may well be the division’s top scorer next term and it’s hard to disagree, particularly if he can carry the momentum over.

Latte Lath is a well-rounded striker, too, and has multiple facets to his game including his hold-up play and leadership, which was on display last night.
