Nicolas Jackson against Manchester City…

Chelsea unfortunately came out 1-0 losers when they faced Manchester City in the FA Cup on the weekend.

It was a tie that the Blues could’ve won. City were there for the taking, and the loss can ultimately be put down to missed chances.

Many players were at fault, including Nicolas Jackson – who did something never seen before against the Cityzen’s.

It’s safe to say that after the cup fixture, some took it too far in regard to the Senegalese forward.

Yes, he missed some vital chances – but so did other members of the squad. He did not deserve the sheer amount of stick he received.

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba was inclined to agree, even going as far as to defend him on social media.

A new striker at Stamford Bridge?

With Jackson having a bit of a shocker, Blues supporters are speculating whether he’s the right man to be leading the line heading forward.

He has been hit-and-miss at Stamford Bridge, as most players have been this season – so it may be harsh to judge.

However, could someone who hasn’t really had the chance to prove themselves be an option for the striker role next season instead?

Finally, Mykhalio Mudryk has had a topsy, turvy start to life at Stamford Bridge – but is now definitely showing his true potential.

The lightning-quick Ukrainian has proved his worth to Mauricio Pochettino and is a regular offender in the Chelsea first-team squad.

The best thing is? He’s only likely to get better. Former Chelsea star Joe Cole seems to think so too, with the former winger stating he can be even better than one of Mikel Arteta’s star performers…
