Report: 'Fantastic' Chelsea player has a real chance of being involved vs Arsenal tomorrow

Chelsea could be about to receive a major injury boost ahead of their Premier League game against Arsenal tomorrow.

Mauricio Pochettino is currently without a lot of his players because of injuries.

The likes of Reece James, Christopher Nkunku and Levi Colwill, for example, all missed Chelsea‘s 1-0 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals over the weekend.

Had they all been available and the Blues been more clinical on the day, perhaps it is a game that they would have won.

Chelsea wasted a lot of opportunities at Wembley, especially Nicolas Jackson, who has come in for a lot of criticism as a result.

Chelsea star could be back for Arsenal game

Marc Cucurella started at left-back in Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to City, while Thiago Silva and Trevoh Chalobah played in central defence.

Colwill can play in both positions, and he is someone who Pochettino could have available again when his side travel to the Emirates to take on Arsenal.

According to LondonWorld, Colwill might be involved tomorrow after returning to training following a toe injury.

The 21-year-old has been an important player for Chelsea this season, making 32 appearances in all competitions.

Levi Colwill could replace Thiago Silva next season

Colwill has spent a lot of time at left-back this term, but the English youngster is naturally a centre-back.

Silva looks likely to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer when his contract expires, with his wife Belle recently hinting at an exit.

If that does happen, then Colwill could easily slot into the left centre-back spot his team-mate has been occupying in the current campaign.

Still just 21, the England international, who has already captained the club this season, has a big future in west London. Pochettino thinks he is a “fantastic talent”, saying as much when he took over at Chelsea last summer.
