'Have made contact': PSG have now reached out to sign 21-year-old Chelsea star - journalist

Paris Saint-Germain have made their move to sign one Chelsea star, though it could be tricky.

PSG will be aware that Chelsea may need to sell some players this summer.

After splashing the cash in recent transfer windows, they now look to be in danger of breaching profit and sustainability rules.

Conor Gallagher is one name that could definitely depart despite his importance to the team.

The 24-year-old’s contract expires next summer and Newcastle United reportedly watched him earlier this month in Chelsea’s 4-3 win against Manchester United.

PSG make contact with Chelsea player’s entourage

As well as in midfield, there could also be departures in defence.

Thiago Silva, for example, will be a free agent at the end of the season.

However, one Chelsea defender who does not look like he is going anywhere is Levi Colwill.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, while PSG are interested in Colwill and “have made contact” with the player’s entourage, the Blues have no plans to sell him.

Chelsea would be mad to sell Levi Colwill to PSG

PSG are one of the richest clubs in the world and could make the kind of offer that could make Colwill one of Chelsea’s most expensive ever sales.

However, whether the Blues need money or not, selling the 21-year-old is not something that should be considered.

Already an England international, he has a huge future as a central defender in the Premier League, while he can also play at left-back.

Over the last year, Colwill has ranked in the 88th percentile for tackles among centre-halves (FBref).

He is quite clearly a good defender and there is so much potential there. Chelsea would be crazy to entertain any offers for him.
