EFL pundits predict the score when Leicester City face Preston North End on Monday

EFL pundits have predicted the outcome of Leicester City against Preston North End.

Enzo Maresca‘s men are almost over the line after producing a 5-0 demolition job on Southampton earlier this week.

The East Midlanders were rampant and barely gave Saints a sniff, not conceding a shot on goal in the dominant King Power Stadium clash.

Three more points will seal promotion back to the Premier League and they have the opportunity to do that on Monday when they travel to Deepdale.

Though, they may actually be promoted before then, if relegation-threatened Queens Park Rangers defeat second-placed Leeds United on Friday.

Anyhow, destiny is in their own hands, as EFL pundits predict Monday’s clash at Preston.

Leicester are nearly there after a long gruelling campaign back in the second tier.

It’s been a topsy-turvy few weeks but they looked back to their very best against The Saints, so with that said, what have Sam Parkin and Benjamin Bloom predicted when they travel to Lancashire…

Speaking on The Championship Check-In podcast, Parkin said: “Yes, I’m seeing Frank Lampard winning the title at Bolton type scenario.

“Maybe relatively tight an hour in, couple of goals on the break maybe.

“2-0 Leicester City, promoted.”

Bloom also felt a City win: “Maybe they’ll go 2-0 up and then Preston will get a goal and they’ll have to fight for it at the end.

“Preston 1-2 Leicester.

“Leicester to be promoted on Monday night.”

Leicester City have got over their blip

City’s sensational 5-0 win on Tuesday felt like a statement, one that certainly would’ve been heard by promotion rivals Leeds and Ipswich Town.

Many have doubted The Foxes and questioned their bottle but they answered those naysayers emphatically.

Every title-winning side in the Championship will go through a tough period but they always react and show great resilience to bounce back.

That’s exactly what Maresca’s side have done and it really feels as though they’re over that bad patch now.

Parkin and Bloom are both expecting a City win on Monday and it’s hard to disagree after their phenomenal showing against the South Coasters.

Leicester are almost there but must remain level-headed.
