Report: 'World-class' Chelsea player has now decided to leave, but he doesn't know what club to join yet

There could be a few big exits at Chelsea this summer.

Raheem Sterling has been linked with a move to MLS, Conor Gallagher is said to be attracting interest from Newcastle United and Thiago Silva is out of contract at the end of the season.

His wife Belle already hinted at the FA Cup semi-final that this is Silva’s final campaign as a Chelsea player.

It could be quite a different-looking Chelsea team next term, then.

However it looks, those on the pitch need to do much better than this current Chelsea team. They currently sit ninth in the Premier League table.

Chelsea star wants exit but is unsure about next move

Out of Sterling, Gallagher and Silva, the last of that trio looks the most likely to leave Stamford Bridge because of his contract situation.

In fact, according to Brazilian outlet UOL, Silva has already decided to leave Chelsea rather than ask and fight for another contract.

However, the same outlet has also claimed that the Brazilian has not made a decision yet on who he is going to join and will speak to his family first.

Silva is now 39 years of age, but losing him will be a blow for Chelsea.

He has been a key player under Mauricio Pochettino this season, making 33 appearances in all competitions. In the past, the former Paris Saint-Germain captain has been hailed as a “world-class” defender by Gary Neville.

Could Thiago Silva do the unthinkable?

In just four years at the club, Silva has practically made himself a Chelsea legend.

Joining Chelsea in his mid-30s, the centre-back has gone on to make 150 appearances and played a huge role in the Blues winning their second Champions League title.

Chelsea supporters will not forget that and will not want to see him play for another English team.

However, according to the Evening Standard, Silva is actually open to remaining in the Premier League.
