Jurgen Klopp makes Arsenal ‘crisis’ statement after Liverpool slip up in title race

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has now made a statement about Arsenal as the Premier League title race approaches the finish line.

Liverpool slipped up last night as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat against their bitter Merseyside rivals Everton at Goodison Park.

This result was good news for the Gunners. Arsenal are currently top of the Premier League table, and three points ahead of the Reds, who would have drawn level with a win against the Toffees.

Of course, Manchester City are still in charge of the title race, as although they are currently four points behind the North London club, they have two games in hand. However, Mikel Arteta will be happy to already have points on the board.

If Arsenal can win all four of their remaining games, then Manchester City only have to slip up once in their last six outings in order for Arteta’s men to be crowned champions.

Arsenal must take heed of the warning that Liverpool’s loss against Everton offers, as they are set to take on their own fierce local rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, is hoping for a miracle that will bring his side back into the heat of the title race.

Speaking to Premier League Productions, the German coach said “we need a crisis at City and Arsenal.”

What do Arsenal need to do to win the Premier League title?

Arsenal must now focus on what they can control. They will need to be at their best to overcome Spurs on Sunday, and they just need to keep winning between now and the end of the season. The task ahead is simple, even if it isn’t likely to be easy.

The Gunners have returned to form recently, and put Chelsea to the sword on Tuesday evening. Kai Havertz returned to haunt his former club with a brace, whilst Martin Odegaard impressed Arsenal fans with his creativity.

Arteta needs his big stars to keep firing on all cylinders. Arsenal need to use the experience that they gained last season, when their title bid fell apart during the run-in, and use those lessons to guide them through the pressure and intensity of this period.

They will also be hoping to see Manchester City falter, just as Liverpool just did.
