Arsenal could lose 'incredible' coach this summer after Liverpool move for Arne Slot

Mikel Arteta could potentially lose an important member of his Arsenal coaching staff following Liverpool’s move for Feyenoord boss Arne Slot.

Fortunately Arsenal aren’t involved in the managerial merry-go-round that is transpiring this summer, given Mikel Arteta is so settled at the club.

As well as Liverpool and Bayern Munich, it seems as if West Ham United are now searching for a new manager too.

A lot of names seem to be in the mix, with Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim linked with all of the vacant roles, given his growing reputation across Europe.

Of course, Arsenal have already experienced the strength of an Amorim team, bowing out to Sporting in the Europa League last season.

And whilst Arsenal fans may not have been previously too concerned with all of these going ons, it seems if there could be repercussions on their end.

It wasn’t so long ago that young coach Carlos Cuesta was being linked with the Norwich City job.

And now Mikel Arteta’s second hand man, Albert Stuivenberg, has appeared on Feyenoord’s shortlist to replace Arne Slot if he is Liverpool bound.

The news comes via a report from AD in The Netherlands, who note that Stuivenberg’s father, Bertus, is still working for the club as a scout.

Stuivenberg has a growing reputation because of his success working so closely with Arteta and is thought to ‘guarantee attacking football’ via the report.

The ‘incredible’ coach has worked for Feyernord’s youth academy in the past, again offering some level of guarantee.

Of course, given the overhaul Arsenal may be expecting with some of their playing staff this summer, losing such an important figure wouldn’t be ideal.

Perhaps this news explains why former Manchester United man Gabriel Heinze has been linked with a coaching role at Arsenal recently.

And whilst Arteta won’t want to lose the likes of Stuivenberg or even Cuesta in a different scenario, the club would surely be happy for any of them to progress their respective careers.

Four more games to win this season, and it then seems as if there will be a lot of events to watch unfold in north London.

All that being said, Arteta would still be better off selling one player this summer despite his performance against Chelsea.
