A14 in Cambridgeshire closed after crash involving two lorries

A crash involving two lorries has closed the westbound A14 carriageway in Cambridgeshire today (Thursday, 25 April).

The road is closed between junction 21 for the Brampton Hut Interchange and junction 13 for the Thrapston Interchange following the collision near junction 18.

The collision occurred earlier today

Cambridgeshire Police and Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue have units in attendance.

A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called just before 9.50am this morning to attend a road traffic collision on the A14 in Catworth involving two lorries.

“Two ambulances, a critical care vehicle and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene. One patient, an adult male, was transported to Hinchingbrooke Hospital for further care.”

Motorists have been advised to plan ahead or delay journeys, with the road not expected to reopen until after 4pm.
