Ivan Rakitic has shared what he thinks is ‘crazy’ about Inter Miami striker and former FC Barcelona teammate Luis Suarez.
The Uruguay international has a well-earned reputation as one of the best goalscorers in the 21st Century, with Suarez guiding Barcelona to a UEFA Champions League title alongside Rakitic with the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar.
Now in MLS with Inter Miami, Suarez has not missed a beat with his goalscoring, with the former Liverpool man already hitting eight goals in 13 appearances for the Herons, as well as bagging six assists.
And Rakitic has now shared what has made Suarez so dangerous for opposing players over the years.

Speaking on the ARLS podcast, Rakitic lauded Suarez’s instincts in front of goal as his best quality, with the playmaker highlighting that the striker only needs one opportunity in a match to find the back of the net.
With Rakitic also showering Messi with praise, it’s clear that the former Sevilla man has fond memories of his time at Barcelona, with Suarez leaving a noticeable impressing on the midfielder during their spell together in Catalonia.
Rakitic said when asked to describe what playing alongside Suarez was like at Barcelona: “Crazy, he has the instincts of a killer. He has one personality on the pitch and another one outside.
“Once he puts the boots on, he will do anything to score, and he wants to be the one to score, he’s a beast when it comes to scoring. He’s pushing, he’s fighting, but his biggest quality is that he only needs one opportunity, he is a crazy, crazy finisher.”
Suarez can become an MLS icon with Inter Miami
At 37, Inter Miami will be Suarez’s final move in his career, as admitted by the man himself, yet the forward is showing no sign yet that he’s ready to hang up his boots.
And if Suarez can remain fit and healthy for the next 18 months, there’s a real chance that the striker can become an icon in MLS and a legend for Inter Miami in the early years of their operation.
Indeed, Suarez is one of the best goalscorers soccer has seen this century, and there’s a real chance that the forward can make one final legacy for himself in America with Inter Miami.
