Families were flooding through the gates of Banham Zoo on Saturday to take part in a fundraising day and activity trail featuring animal mascots.
Food trucks, face painting and bouncy castles provided plenty of fun, with crews from East Harling Fire Station on site to allow people to explore the fire trucks and learn about their roles and equipment.
Joshua Hunter-Harl, head of income generation at the zoo said: “We were delighted to see so many visitors and members enjoying a day out at the zoo with their families.
“We extend our thanks to East Harling Fire Service, who were able to join us on the day, offering our guests the chance to climb aboard a real fire truck and meet the teams who keep our communities safe.
“Character days like these are critical for boosting charity income, which directly supports the care of our animals and our conservation efforts. We had a real feel-good, family atmosphere through the day. Our thanks goes to all who came to offer their support.”
