Donald Trump's former assistant, Rhona Graff, appeared on the stand briefly on Friday. But it was when she left that the courtroom gasped.

Newsweek reporter Katherine Fung posted on X, "After a very short testimony, Trump attempts to greet Graff as she leaves, the move appears to shock the courtroom, where murmurs are heard. Jurors were still in the box at this moment."

USA Today's Aysha Bagchi also observed Trump whisper something to Graff, but she purportedly couldn't hear what it was.

Graff was there by subpoena for the prosecution, but her lawyers continue to be funded by the Trump Organization. She no longer works for the company, but she is also not working anywhere else, according to various reports.

She and Trump appeared to be still on good terms based on her compliments for him from the stand.

Former National Enquirer/AMI chief David Pecker was the witness over the course of the week, but Graff's testimony was quick, lasting about an hour.

After Graff's testimony, Michael Cohen's banker, Gary Farro, took the stand to talk about the bank account set up for the funds sent to Stormy Daniels.
