Runners from across the district competed in the London Marathon.
Oli Crampton from Newark Athletic Club gained a new personal best as he ran 2-45-25 in the event.
Rob Lindsay finished in 3-01-48 and Tom Newbould crossed the line in 3-42-48.

The first Newark Strider to finish the race was Mark Jackson as he ran a 2-57-50 personal best.
He was followed by Ian Baker who ran 3-20-13 and Matt Oliver who completed the race in 4-08-34.
Alistair McGrory finished his first marathon as he crossed in 4-16-39.

Katie Kettleborough completed her run in 4-31-32.
Elsewhere, Lisa Edwards and Cate Driscoll ran in the Shakespeare Marathon, at Stratford-upon-Avon.
Edwards finished in 4-17-12, followed by Driscoll in 4-36-49.
In the Manchester Marathon, Chris Cantwell crossed the finishing line in 3-36-30 and Joseph Pogson completed the event in 3-42-29 in their first race at that distance.
Maisie Mullett represented the East Midlands Team in the under-13 Girls race at the TCS London Mini-marathon.

She ran the 2.6k course in a time of 8-53 and crossed the line in second place overall in a field of 204.
