‘What planet does he live on?’: Richard Keys stunned at what Man United man said after Burnley draw

Richard Keys has slammed one Manchester United man following his comments after yesterday’s 1-1 draw with Burnley.

It was another disappointing afternoon for Manchester United as a late penalty earned second-bottom Burnley a point at Old Trafford.

United created plenty of chances on the day, with Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Bruno Fernandes all going close in the first half. Burnley had their moments too as Lyle Foster forced two exceptional saves from Andre Onana.

Antony wasted another brilliant chance in the second period but eventually found a breakthrough in the 79th minute.

The Brazilian raced through on goal and produced a composed finish following a mistake from Sander Berge.

It looked set to earn Erik Ten Hag’s side all three points but Onana clattered into Zeki Amdouni in the 87th minute, handing the Clarets a chance to level things up.

Amdouni made no mistake from the spot and following another disappointing result for the Red Devils, Ten Hag’s post-match comments left Richard Keys baffled.

Keys slams Ten Hag after Man United vs Burnley

Following yesterday’s 2-2 draw, Ten Hag made an interesting claim about United’s style of play.

“Every team gives up opportunities,” the Dutchman said. “But, when it is up to us, it is weird. We created loads of chances as well. We are one of the most dynamic and entertaining teams in the league at this moment.”

And Keys has reacted to Ten Hag’s comments, suggesting it won’t be long until the United boss heads out the door at Old Trafford.

He wrote: “‘We are one of the most dynamic & entertaining teams in the league at this moment’ Erik ten Hag. Utd 1 Burnley 1.

“What planet does he live on? What game does he see? At least it won’t long now before this nonsense ends.”

United to part ways with Ten Hag?

It’s no secret that Ten Hag is facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe weighing up the possibility of heading in a new direction this summer.

It was claimed on Saturday that the Red Devils are ‘inclined’ to part ways with the Dutchman, with Thomas Tuchel and Thiago Motta under consideration.

As for his comments on United’s style of play, it’s fair to say that some United fans are likely to disagree.

Ten Hag has often been criticised for a lack of identity on the pitch and while his side are often involved in entertaining games, that’s largely due to their vulnerability at the back, as well as their unpredictability in the final third.
