‘I don’t think that’s going to happen’…Roy Keane has just made a big claim about Arsenal before facing Tottenham

Roy Keane has been speaking about Arsenal ahead of playing Tottenham today and has made a claim about the side’s mindset.

Last season we all saw Arsenal drop away as City romped to the title in the end.

But this time around, it looks like Arsenal have more steel about them and they still well in the mix ahead of facing off against big rivals Tottenham today.

Mikel Arteta will be hoping his team do the business and a win against Spurs would give everyone at the club huge confidence going into the final few games.

As we know, one man who knows a thing or two about winning is Roy Keane.

And speaking about Arsenal just now on Sky Sports, Keane has paid the Gunners a compliment when it comes to their staying power.

Roy Keane discusses Arsenal ahead of facing Tottenham

Discussing the need to win this game, Keane commented on Arsenal being still in the title race and he praised Arsenal’s players for not fading away like last term.

“Yeah I think so. When you look at the brilliant team that’s behind them, the form they’re in and winning in midweek, the pressure is on Arsenal to keep winning. But of course, that’s what it takes to win titles you’ve got to keep the momentum going. They’ve recovered well from the setback against Aston Villa but with City behind you, you have to keep winning,” Keane said.

“That’s the big if [can they keep winning]. Can they put a marker down? They’re scoring goals, solid at the back, physically they look strong, look fresh. We say they faded away last year I don’t think that’s going to happen to this group of players and obviously a win puts the pressure back on Man City, but that’s the name of the game.”

The pressure, then, is on Arsenal to keep their momentum going.

Failure to win, against Spurs of all people, will be a disastrous finish to the season.
