Powerball ticket worth $1M sold in N.J. for Saturday’s drawing

Someone in New Jersey is waking up a millionaire after matching five of the six numbers in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing.

New Jersey lottery officials had not announced where the winning ticket was sold as of Sunday morning. The location is expected to be announced later in the day.

There were two $1 million prize tickets sold for the drawing, one to a person in New Jersey and another to someone in Georgia. Both players matched the five white balls but not the Powerball.

The winning numbers for the Saturday, April 27, Powerball drawing were: 9, 30, 53, 55, 62. The Powerball number was 23 with a Power Play of 3X.

There was no winner for the estimated $151 million jackpot, which had a cash value of $69 million.

The next drawing is Monday, April 29. The estimated jackpot for that drawing is $164 million with a cash value of $74.9 million.

At least two other winning Powerball tickets were sold in New Jersey this month. A $50,000 winning ticket was sold at a Camden County deli for the April 1 drawing and a $1 million winning ticket was sold April 3.
