'Unreal': MLS pundit left stunned by what he saw Luis Suarez do for Inter Miami last night vs New England

Taylor Twellman was left stunned by what Luis Suarez did for Inter Miami in last night’s 4-1 win against the New England Revolution.

The Herons kept their winning streak in MLS alive with a frantic win against the Revs, with a Lionel Messi masterclass again the catalyst behind Inter Miami’s impressive result away on the road in Massachusetts.

With Suarez starting on the bench as Robert Taylor and Leonardo Campana were brought back into the starting XI, the new-look Inter Miami attack allowed the Uruguay international to come off in the final 30 minutes to make an impact.

And Suarez did exactly that, with Twellman blown away by what he saw from the Herons striker.

Twellman stunned by ‘class’ Suarez goal vs New England

Speaking on Apple TV’s broadcast of the game, Twellman was left speechless by Suarez’s goal for Inter Miami last night, with the former Gremio star sealing the 4-1 win for the Herons with an unstoppable finish.

Taking his tally to now nine goals in all competitions, Suarez’s form for Inter Miami has arguably been just as impressive as Messi’s, especially with how many question marks were hanging over the striker’s head upon arriving in Florida.

And last night again showed how lethal Suarez can be with just one chance on the ball, something Ivan Rakitic brought up in a recent interview when talking about his former FC Barcelona teammates.

Twellman said: “Unreal, oh my word. Guess who it is linking up again, Messi and Suarez, my word, they’re going to be 85-years-old doing this together on South Beach, these two just know how to get it done, class is forever.”

Inter Miami used Suarez perfectly last night

Whilst playing once a week is proving to be ideal for Inter Miami and their roster of veteran superstars, the Herons have been wise to still not overuse the likes of Suarez and Messi, with the former not even named in the starting XI.

Yet the decision to bring Suarez off the bench for the final 30 minutes proved to be perfect game management from Tata Martino, with the attacker looking lively and coming away with an incredible goal to secure all three points.

With Suarez now fully fresh for next weekend’s clash against the New York Red Bulls, the 37-year-old could go on a tear at Chase Stadium, especially if Messi is again in the starting XI.
