Report: What Noni Madueke and Benoit Badiashile told referee after Chelsea's disallowed goal vs Aston Villa

Understandably, Noni Madueke and Benoit Badiashile were fuming at the end of Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Aston Villa last night.

Chelsea thought they won the game in stoppage time after Axel Disasi headed the ball into the back of Villa’s net.

However, the goal was disallowed after Badiashile was adjudged to have committed a foul in the build-up by the VAR.

It was not a terrible point for Badiashile, Madueke and the rest of the Chelsea team given that they were 2-0 down at one stage.

But they needed all three in their bid to secure European football next season.

What Noni Madueke and Benoit Badiashile said to Craig Pawson

Craig Pawson was the referee in charge of Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Villa and had to deal with a very angry Madueke and Badiashile at full-time.

As reported by the Daily Mail, the two players were heard saying “it’s wrong, you know it’s wrong. You know it. You know it!” while pointing at Pawson.

You can understand their frustration considering just how close they were to winning the game and what it would have meant.

Chelsea will now have to beat London rivals Tottenham Hotspur to stay in the race for European football.

Noni Madueke and Benoit Badiashile right to be furious

Badiashile was penalised for a push before Chelsea’s disallowed goal, but the contact was quite minimal and you do see other players get away with such all of the time.

Considering that, then, Madueke and Badiashile’s anger is more than warranted.

However, the duo and their Chelsea team-mates need to quickly put that behind them now.

That upcoming game against Tottenham is such a huge one and if they lose it, Mauricio Pochettino could be in big trouble.

It has been a disastrous season for Chelsea and the Argentine will only have one year left on his contract in the summer. It will be easy to sack him.
