The mixed team at Chatteris Tennis Club commenced the new season in the Hunts and Peterborough League with a resounding 8-0 home win against Spalding.
The team of Hayley Sizer, David Milburn, Roz Fitches and David Woolley all played strongly throughout the match, keeping the visitors at bay with fast-paced, accurate play.
The match started under cloudy skies, but the rain held off, much to the delight of supporting club members cheering from the courtside.
The ladies and men’s teams will also soon commence their summer campaign in the Cambs League.
