Club director admits 22-year-old forward Liverpool scouted could leave this summer

A player Liverpool have scouted recently could leave his club this summer according to his club director.

It’s going to be a new era for Liverpool as we embark on the summer transfer window. Not only will this be Arne Slot’s first window as the club’s new head-coach, it will also be the first with Michael Edwards back at the helm, and Richard Hughes as the club’s sporting director.

On top of that, with Edwards returning, FSG will also pursue a new ambition in buying another club, which means Liverpool will become part of a multi-club model.

That will mean the club will be recruiting more players and will have more might in the transfer market. Which means we could be set for not just a busy summer ahead, but a few very busy summers.

Yuito Suzuki on Liverpool’s transfer radar?

As we reported, Liverpool scouts were in attendance recently to watch a game between IF Brondby and FC Midtjylland where Yuito Suzuki excelled.

The Reds were among a number of scouts who watched Suzuki in action. The 22-year-old Japanese international is in great form this season and has 17 goal contributions in 28 games so far for Brondby.

Capable of playing anywhere across the front three he does seem like a good profile for Liverpool. And now speaking to Bold, his sporting director, has admitted Suzuki could leave the club this summer.

“As a starting point, we would like to keep him, but you can never say never in this industry. The goal is, of course, to stay in Brondby for a slightly longer period before moving on. The goal is for him to play in Brondby next season.”

Why Yuito Suzuki makes sense for Liverpool

As mentioned above with Edwards at the helm, FSG will look to create multi club model with Liverpool. Signing a player like Suzuki could be the perfect fit for this multi club model.

He is the kind of player who is showing exciting potential, but isn’t quite ready to make the step-up to Anfield just yet.

Moving him to a second club, where he can continue his development and be integrated into the club’s system would make sense.

Suzuki is undoubtedly the type of player Edwards will be looking to recruit in his new role with FSG.
