Powerball ticket worth $50K bought at N.J. convenience store for last night’s drawing

A Powerball ticket valued at $50,000 was bought by a lottery player for Monday’s drawing at a convenience store in Somerset County.

The third-prize ticket was purchased at Quick Mart on Hamilton Street in the Somerset section of Franklin Township, New Jersey lottery officials said. It matched four numbers plus the Powerball.

No one across the country hit Monday’s $164 million jackpot. There were also no second-prize, $1 million tickets sold.

Monday’s winning numbers were: 11, 38, 47, 67, 69. The Powerball drawn was 14, with a Power Play of 2X.

In addition, no one nationally won the secondary, $10 million Double Play drawing or the $500,000 second prize. Those winning numbers were: 11, 44, 50, 54 and 59. The Double Play number drawn was: 13.

The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 292,201,388 to 1. A player who buys a $2 ticket has about a 1 in 11,688,053 chance to match five numbers and win at least $1 million, while the odds are 913,129 to 1 to win a third prize of at least $50,000.

Powerball drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot has an estimated value of $257 million with a cash option of $115.6 million.
