Robert Taylor says he would ‘love to stay’ at Inter Miami

Speaking to journalist Jose Armando, Robert Taylor admitted that he is keen to stay at Inter Miami, with the Finnish international’s contract with the Herons due to expire at the end of this year.

A player who has struck up an incredible partnership with Messi as Taylor again assisted the forward on Saturday, the 29-year-old staying with Inter Miami would seemingly suit all parties, with the winger playing his best soccer ever in Florida.

Taylor said when asked what the latest is on his future with Inter Miami: “I love it here, this is the best team and the best club I’ve ever played for in my career, and I’d love to stay as long as I can.

“Right now I’m just focused on the football side and playing on the field, there’s not too much focus on the outside and I just hope I can continue playing well so I can stay. You can always say you’ve done enough, but I want to do more.”

Herons have to get Taylor’s new contract sorted as soon as possible

Taylor’s performances with Inter Miami since the arrival of Messi have been nothing short of incredible, with the winger arguably the breakout player for the Herons alongside the Argentine.

And with Taylor’s contract due to expire at the end of this year, Inter Miami need to be putting in the work right now to secure the Finnish international’s future at Chase Stadium.

With MLS teams likely to be interested in signing Taylor, Inter Miami can’t afford to wait around in handing the forward a new deal, with the attacker in the prime of his career and loving life with the Herons.
