Report: West Ham and Man United want to appoint manager in UCL semi-finals, not Tuchel

West Ham United and Manchester United are seemingly trying to appoint the same manager this summer.

David Moyes and Erik ten Hag both face extremely uncertain futures beyond the end of the season, at West Ham and Manchester United respectively.

Moyes has let himself down this season, after he had the opportunity to really push us on to the next level, and now it’s being claimed that it’s very likely that he will leave the London Stadium this summer.

The Hammers desperately need to appoint a talented young manager to come into the club and usher us on into a new era of success.

Moyes has done a great job since he returned to the London Stadium in December 2019, but his time is clearly up now.

The same can be said for Ten Hag at Old Trafford.

And it seems like both Premier League clubs are chasing the same gaffer…

German media outlet Ruhr 24 claims that Man United are battling West Ham for Borussia Dortmund boss Edin Terzic – a man who David Sullivan has been chasing over the past week apparently.

However, it is suggested that the German will remain with Dortmund beyond the end of the current campaign.

Terzic joined West Ham as assistant to Slaven Bilic in 2015 having worked with him at Besiktas previously.

The 41-year-old was an integral part of the management setup which led West Ham to one of our best ever Premier League seasons in the memorable Farewell Boleyn campaign.

However, he left us when Bilic was sacked in 2017, and eventually took over as interim Borussia Dortmund manager in December 2020.

He led them to domestic cup success in May 2021, but wasn’t installed as the permanent manager there until a year later.

Terzic has been a huge success with Dortmund, and he nearly guided them to the Bundesliga title last term.

This season, he has led his team to the Champions League semi-finals. Terzic obviously has something very special about him.

If West Ham manage to appoint the Dortmund manager, it would be a big step in the right direction for us. However, it seems like he’s set to remain at Signal Iduna Park for at least one more season unfortunately.
