Why Matheus Cunha could be crowned Wolves’ player of the season

At the start of the campaign, many were left feeling that the £44m fee Wolves were obligated to pay for Cunha was extortionate, an opinion that has since drastically changed.

With 18 goal contributions in 29 Premier League apperances this season, the Brazilian is playing his best football under O’Neil, thriving in the manager’s system.

From needing to prove his potency in front of goal to battling injuries, the 24-year-old has stepped up this campaign, highlighted not only by his impressive figures but by how different Wolves look when he is not in the side.
