‘Impressed so many’: Alasdair Gold says Tottenham staff have been stunned by teenager in training

Tottenham may be in poor form at the moment, but, in terms of the bigger picture, there’s plenty to be excited about at Spurs.

Indeed, there are a number of talented young players coming through at Tottenham at the moment such as Alfie Devine, Ashley Phillips and Jamie Donley.

Add to that the fact that Spurs have a very exciting manager in the dugout in the shape of Ange Postecoglou, and there is reason to be cheerful in north London.

For all of the young talent Spurs have, perhaps the most intriguing is a 16-year-old who is just making his name in the game.

Indeed, Mikey Moore looks to be a star of the future, recently pictured in training with the first-team squad at Tottenham, and according to Alasdair Gold, speaking on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast, Moore is impressing people behind the scenes at Spurs.

Mikey Moore is impressing at Tottenham

Gold shared what he knows about Moore behind the scenes at Spurs.

“Yeah, there was someone else at the game who went along with the squad, young Mikey Moore. He was the 21 man. He wasn’t in the squad, but he was there if there in case of illness or injury in the warm-up and stuff like that. Massive experience for a 16-year-old and it shows how far he’s come over the past couple of weeks training with the first-team, he’s impressed so many people,” Gold said.

Mikey Moore might get a chance soon

Don’t be shocked if Mikey Moore debuts before the end of the season at Tottenham.

Spurs, with all due respect, may have nothing to play for heading into the final two weeks of the season. They’re clear of Manchester United in 6, and, sadly, with difficult games coming up against Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City, Spurs may soon find that Aston Villa are out of reach in fourth.

If the two games against Burnley and Sheffield United at the end of the season do end up being dead rubbers, don’t be shocked if Postecoglou throws Moore in to give him a taste of first-team action.
