'I am really saddened': Alan Brazil shocked by Everton news he's seen today which will leave fans 'dismayed'

Alan Brazil has been talking about Everton’s off-the-field current plight on talkSPORT and has been left saddened by one piece of news.

Evertonians were rocked on Wednesday after reports emerged of the club calling in insolvency advisers amidst fresh doubt over 777 Partners’ takeover of the club.

The Guardian reports that the board have sought the helped of leading restructuring and insolvency advisers, raising further doubt over the Miami-based firm’s ability to complete a takeover.

Now, there’s a genuine possibility of Everton being plunged into administration.

Thankfully, talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook has revealed that any such scenario should be avoided until next season.

The off-the-field situation is growing increasingly frustrating and challenging for Evertonians.

Evidently, the fanbase has endured some challenging moments over the past two years, and Brazil has shared his sympathy after reading about the threat of administration.

The talkSPORT Breakfast host said: “Do you know what, it’s incredible. Just when you thought they were out of it, they could be plunged straight back in. They [the fans] must be dismayed here.

“I think Everton have had enough. I am really saddened by this news. I could happen; it may not happen.”

Off-the-field issues once again cloud Everton’s impressive form under Sean Dyche

Everton’s impressive recent form should be the only thing fans, journalists, and pundits are talking about heading into the season’s final furlong.

Yet, here we are, still trying to make sense of what is occurring at the top of the club.

777 Partners should clear this mess up and step away from the club. If they were suitable owners, the Premier League would’ve allowed the Miami-based firm to take control. Evidently, issues over their source of funding are too significant to look past, and rightly so.

At this point, Evertonians will be hopeful of another party emerging in the background. Whether it’s realistic is another matter entirely.
