Report: West Ham want manager with 267 career wins to replace Moyes, meeting imminent

West Ham United are eyeing up a very exciting manager to come in and replace David Moyes at the London Stadium.

A meeting is allegedly scheduled to take place this month between the West Ham owners and the man they want to replace David Moyes.

Moyes has seemingly reached the end of the road in charge of the Hammers, and a four-man shortlist of potential replacements for him has allegedly been compiled by the owners.

Things have gone from bad to worse for West Ham since the turn of the year.

We’ve been dumped out of Europe and have won only three Premier League games since our brilliant 2-0 win away at Arsenal back in December.

This was a season where we really had to kick on, but we’ve regressed unfortunately.

A new man is definitely needed at the helm, but who will it be?

The Scot is clearly done at the London Stadium.

His awful style of football meant that only good results would have kept him in a job beyond the end of this season.

However, the results have taken a turn for the worse this season, and he has nowhere to hide now.

The Scot will be off, I have no doubts about that. And judging by the latest reports, a really exciting replacement could be on his way to east London…

According to a report from Caughtoffside, the Hammers owners want Paulo Fonseca to replace Moyes, and plan to meet him later this month.

Fonseca has won 267 games out of the 478 that he’s managed – a win rate of 55.86% (Footy Stats).

It was claimed a couple of days ago that the Hammers are ‘turning the needle’ in the race to appoint the Portuguese coach.

He’s done a fine job at Lille, and has his side playing some truly exceptional, easy-on-the-eye football.

He is a three-time league champion from his time in charge of Shakhtar Donetsk, and has won nine trophies in total throughout his managerial career, so he would certainly bring a winning mentality with him to the London Stadium.

The Lille manager implements an extremely exciting brand of football, and takes his responsibility of bringing through talented young players from the academy very seriously indeed.

If he is the manager to replace Moyes this summer, I’ll be over the moon.
