Former President Donald Trump took to Truth Social Thursday to set the media straight on a crucial point of his criminal hush money trial.

"I don’t fall asleep during the Crooked D.A.’s Witch Hunt, especially not today," Trump declared. "I simply close my beautiful blue eyes."

Trump delivered this assessment of his physical beauty and mental focus in an apparent rebuttal to multiple reports that he frequently dozes off in the Manhattan criminal courtroom where he stands accused of covering up hush money paid to an adult movie star.

New York Times writer Maggie Haberman spotted Trump nodding off on his first day of court and later put the tally at three courtroom naps in four days.

Former prosecutor Harry Litman also saw Trump take a "bonafide nap" and two quick dozes on Friday.

"FAKE NEWS MEDIA," Trump declared. "[I] listen intensely, and take it ALL in!!!

This rebuttal was met with almost immediate mockery on the social media site owned by his eponymous media company Truth Social.

"YOU FART YOURSELF AWAKE," replied IndplsPunk.
