Nigel Farage has been tipped to announce a return to frontline politics and could front the Reform UK campaign.
One source said: “Nigel has been rumoured to be considering a return to politics since he appeared in the jungle last year.
“But he has always been very cagey about his plans and it is only in recent weeks that he has begun discussing a return.”
They continued to tell the Mirror: “There were those who doubted he would come back and felt his I’m A Celeb appearance was all about exposure for himself.
“But he is well aware what those weeks of national TV exposure have done for him - and the position he could be in to help Reform.
“He also feels bolstered by the support that was expressed for him while he was on the show. But he has not been short of offers lately - including in the US.”
The former Ukip MEP, who recently turned 60, admitted he has three choices before him.
During a 'thinking-out-loud' birthday speech last month, Farage said: “Life at 60 is pretty good.
“I am reasonably fit enough, I have a job that I enjoy, I have got many other things that I am able to do, I have got an income that I have not had for over 30 years.
“But I do face a series of options. Do I stick with this comfortable life, part of a broadcasting channel which is bringing a revolution in British broadcasting?
“I could go to America because a very good friend of mine is about to become the 47th President of the United States of America. America is very tempting. I could get jobs there and make loads of money.
“Or, I could throw it all away, start again, throw myself back into the frontline of British politics. These are all options.”
“I thought that maybe on my 60th birthday party to make a big announcement.
“Maybe it was the right moment to do it,” he said. “But then I thought - why spoil a lovely booze up,” he said.
“So on this 60th birthday, I have to tell you that I genuinely have not yet made up my mind.
“I am beginning to form in my mind what I think the right thing to do is. And I will say what I am going to do over the course of the next few weeks.”
