Report: Tottenham could now sign Serie A player likened to Alphonso Davies for just £13m in coming weeks

Tottenham Hotspur will no doubt be eager to bolster their ranks in the summer transfer window in wake of a poor end to the season.

Spurs hit the ground running under Ange Postecoglou and, at one point of the season, they even looked like potential dark horses for the title.

Even though Tottenham couldn’t keep that form up, they remained firmly in the top-four picture. At least, until a few weeks ago.

Three consecutive Premier League defeats have left Spurs needing a miracle to overhaul fourth-placed Aston Villa in the coming weeks.

Now, a report has emerged claiming Spurs could soon land a Serie A talent likened to Alphonso Davies for just £13million if they so wish.

The player in question is Juventus gem Samuel Iling-Junior, who has been linked with Tottenham over the past few months.

GiveMeSport claim Tottenham have been made aware that they will be able to land Iling-Junior if they head to Juve with a £13million offer in the coming weeks.

The 20-year-old is out of favour at the Turin club and apparently isn’t in the picture while Massimiliano Allegri remains at the helm.

Iling-Junior has featured for less than 700 minutes this season and is said to be ready for a new challenge in an attempt to get his career back on track.

Who is Tottenham target Samuel Iling-Junior?

Samuel Illing-Junior came through the ranks at Chelsea but opted to make the move to Juve in 2020, linking up with their academy.

The 20-year-old eventually broke into the Juve first team and has made 41 appearances to date, though he hasn’t been picked often of late.

Illing-Junior would be a good shout for Tottenham as he incredibly talented and first-team ready with a high ceiling, versatile and has English football experience.

He has also been deemed an ‘assist machine‘, seems keen on a Premier League return, his contract’s up in 2025, and his club appears open to selling for a fee which wouldn’t break the bank for Spurs.

Likened to Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies, Iling-Junior could prove to be the latest Juve player to kickstart his career at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
