What Radu Draugsin’s agent has now said about Ange Postecoglou’s tactics after Tottenham’s loss to Chelsea

The agent of Tottenham Hotspur defender Radu Dragusin has now offered Ange Postecoglou some advice on his tactics.

Tottenham now find themselves limping over the line with just four games remaining now in the Premier League campaign.

In a season which offered a lot of promise over potential Champions League qualification, Ange Postecoglou‘s side now look ready for the summer break.

Three straight defeats in the Premier League shows there is something not quite right at Hotspur Way currently.

Spurs have only been able to keep one clean sheet in the Premier League since the turn of the year.

And now the agent of the January signing, Radu Dragusin, has commented once again about his client’s situation at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

And it is unlikely these comments will do the Romanian any favours behind the scenes with the Australian.

What Radu Dragusin’s agent has now told Ange Postecoglou

It has undoubtedly been a massively underwhelming move to the Premier League so far for the 22-year-old.

After snubbing the likes of Bayern Munich and Napoli to join Tottenham, Dragusin has made just two starts for Spurs.

And you have to question whether he would have even got those starts if Micky van de Ven did not suffer his latest hamstring injury.

But with European football expected to return to north London for next season, the Romanian’s time will come.

Draugsin’s agent has been no stranger to letting his mouth run since the move was agreed in the January window.

The January window saw Eric Dier moved on as he was clearly not in the plans of the Australian manager.

He made the move to the club Dragusin rejected, Bayern Munich, and he now finds himself playing regular first-team football.

Speaking to Italian outlet Radio CRC, Dragusin’s agent had a lot to say about Postecoglou’s system and his client’s future.

“He must have patience, he has two important players in front of him, in the end he will find space,” Dragusin’s agent said.

“The coach has said many times that he doesn’t want to play three (at the back), he knows better, but he concedes a lot of goals for Tottenham.

“Playing with three gives you more security that you won’t concede too many goals. Tottenham concede a lot of goals from set pieces, I think Dragusin will find space in the future because Tottenham need his power.”

“If he doesn’t play we’ll have to think of other solutions, but at the moment I don’t think so because he only arrived in January. Then you never know in life, let’s hope not, but you never know,” he added.

Should Radu Dragusin start vs Liverpool on Sunday?

Going into the game against Chelsea, Postecoglou had a decision to make at left-back with Destiny Udogie and Ben Davies now out for the season.

He could have moved Van de Ven across to the left-back position and brought in Dragusin alongside Cristian Romero.

However, he played it safe with Emerson Royal at left-back and it was a decision which did not pay off with the fans letting their feelings known about the Brazilian’s dismal display.

Playing Van de Ven at left-back could remain an option but Thursday night felt like the perfect opportunity to try it.
