Spurs now have green light to sign 'one of the most promising young footballers of his generation' for bargain fee - opinion

Tottenham Hotspur have a lot of work to do in the summer market to ensure that their team can last the distance next season.

Ange Postecoglou has done a good job for the most part since taking the Spurs reins last year, quickly getting the team back on track after a dismal 2022/23 campaign.

Indeed, there was a point in the season where Tottenham looked like potential dark horses for the Premier League title.

And going into the latter stages of the season, Spurs remained in the picture for top four and a spot in the Champions League next term.

Sadly, Tottenham’s form has crumbled, and now they must effectively hope for a miracle to dethrone Aston Villa from fourth place.

However, things seem to be on the right track, and with a few more incomings and outgoings, things will hopefully be better next season.

Now, Tottenham may have just got themselves the green light to bring “one of the most promising young footballers of his generation” to N17 for a bargain price.

The player in question is Juventus wing-back Samuel Iling-Junior, an incredibly talented 20-year-old whose future seems to lie away from the Allianz Stadium.

GiveMeSport have reported that Tottenham have been made fully aware they can sign Iling-Junior if they head to Juve with a £13million offer in the coming weeks.

The 20-year-old is out of favour in Turin and doesn’t seem to be in the picture while Massimiliano Allegri remains at the helm.

Iling-Junior has featured for less than 700 minutes this season and is apparently ready to up sticks in an attempt to get his career back on track.

Samuel Iling-Junior could become the latest Juventus gem to deliver for Tottenham

As we’ve seen in the past, being out of favour at Juve doesn’t necessarily mean they’re a bad player. Spurs have got a lot out of Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur, for instance.

Indeed, the Juve website deemed the Englishman “one of the most promising young footballers of his generation” when they shared a video of his goals just last year.

The video, posted on YouTube embedded on the Juve website, showcases the “skill, speed, and agility that have made him a standout player.”

Likened to Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies, Iling-Junior could well become the latest Bianconeri player to kickstart his career at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
