Report: In-demand star already knows about Newcastle's plans for him if they win transfer battle

Newcastle United, it seems, are already making plans for the summer transfer window.

While it remains unclear what – if any – European club competition Newcastle will be playing in next season, the end of the season is fast-approaching.

The Magpies were said to have been on the hunt for defensive reinforcement even before the long-term injuries to both Sven Botman and Jamaal Lascelles.

With that in mind, it would hardly be much of a surprise to see them further prioritise making signings in that area.

Indeed, that does seem to be the case.

Bournemouth’s Lloyd Kelly is said to be a target as his contract on the south coast winds down, while Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo is understood to be of interest.

While the 26-year-old is believed to have not quite reached a decision on where he will go upon the expiration of his contract this summer, Cottagers boss Marco Silva has admitted it will unlikely be with them.

Chelsea are thought to be interested but the Daily Mail have provided an interesting update.

Tosin Adarabioyo already knows about Newcastle’s interest – and the Eddie Howe factor could be huge

They claim the defender is already aware of the plans Newcastle have for him.

Sources even suggest he’s leaning towards a move to St James’ Park despite a host of other offers and that the prospect of working under a coach like Eddie Howe could be a deciding factor.

Newcastle have already made their intentions clear about Tosin Adarabioyo

It seems the club are very keen on the 26-year-old.

In fact, it was even claimed by the Northern Echo earlier this week that Newcastle were willing to pay the defender upwards of £100k-per-week, duly making him one of the highest earners at the club.

Clearly, they mean business in regards to winning this transfer battle…
