Tottenham player who Ange Postecoglou hailed ‘fantastic’ has now decided to leave this summer

Tottenham Hotspur are now set to lose a big money player this summer after he’s made a decision on his future.

The Lilywhites now look set to miss out on Champions League qualification this season but there have still been plenty of positives to take.

Ange Postecoglou‘s side have come on leaps and bounds in the Australian’s first season in the Premier League.

This has come despite the 58-year-old making a number of changes to the Tottenham side which he inherited over the summer.

And change is set to continue over the coming months with a number of players on the club’s list of potential sales.

It is now suggested there is one player who Spurs spent a lot of money on who has made his decision to leave the club.

The likes of Harry Kane and Eric Dier have already moved on over the last 12 months and it looks like there is another significant name set to join them in moving on.

Tottenham player now decides he wants to leave this summer

There are a number of Tottenham players who could be set to leave over the coming months.

Richarlison and Emerson Royal are two players who have now been linked with a potential exit.

This comes amid the expectation for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to also move on with the Dane having already been offered by his agents to AC Milan.

The midfielder is just one of the players who has seriously struggled to nail down regular game time since Postecoglou was appointed last summer.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Argentine midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has now made the decision to leave the club.

Lo Celso has struggled to earn himself any significant minutes under the Australian this season despite James Maddison‘s major struggles recently.

Despite Postecoglou hailing the midfielder as “fantastic”, Lo Celso is not enjoying his time in north london, the report claims he has kept good contact with the hierarchy at Real Betis.

A number of clubs are said to be considering the 28-year-old as an option for the upcoming window as he hopes to move on.

Thursday’s Chelsea defeat showed what Spurs are missing with Giovani Lo Celso cameo

Despite dropping Maddison on Thursday, it was Dejan Kulusevski given the nod over the Argentine.

After coming on in the final minutes of the game, the playmaker showed Postecoglou just what he had been missing out on for weeks.

In his mere four minutes on the pitch at Stamford Bridge, Lo Celso was able to create more opportunities than any other Spurs player managed.

Another huge task approaches for Postecoglou’s side this weekend with a trip to Anfield and it leaves the Australian with an interesting team selection to make.

Lo Celso looks to be the player in form when it comes to the playmaker role, however, could his transfer stance put the manager off playing him.
