‘I think he will start’: Leon Osman says Jurgen Klopp will pick £34m Liverpool player vs Tottenham

Liverpool face Tottenham this weekend in a game that will be interesting to say the least.

Liverpool and Spurs both head into this game in poor form, while the Reds come into this one with a bit of ongoing in-house drama.

Indeed, last weekend, Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp got into a real touchline spat during the West Ham game, and there’s been all sorts of speculation this week about the pair’s relationship.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, Leon Osman has been discussing Salah and Klopp’s argument, and the pundit says that he does think that Salah will start against Spurs this weekend despite spending a lot of time on the bench recently.

Mohamed Salah tipped to start vs Tottenham

Osman spoke about the £34m man and Jurgen Klopp’s team selection this weekend.

“I think he will start though Mo Salah. I think he will play him. The game at Anfield is a big game for both the player and the manager,” Osman said.

“It’s a shame that’s happened so late in their relationship because they’ve achieved so much together and that spat leaves a taste in your mouth about them splitting up and leaving.”

Jurgen Klopp’s Mohamed Salah statement

One way or another, Klopp will be making a statement with Mohamed Salah this weekend.

Leave him on the bench and you fuel the speculation around the falling out and show that his recent form and behaviour has been unacceptable.

Start him and you show that the hatchet has been buried and your star player is totally committed to giving his all until the end of the season.

In our view, Klopp should start Salah in this game as he’s one of the Reds’ best players and Spurs are tricky opposition, but, ultimately, this decision lies in the hands of the manager.
