'Tired of his hot air!' Jim Jordon skewered for newest crusade against Trump prosecutor

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) faced public mockery Monday when he announced another investigation into a prosecutor who has levied criminal charges against former President Donald Trump.

Jordan and the House Oversight Committee shared on X that the Ohio Republican plans to investigate special counsel Jack Smith's handling of the Florida federal court classified document case after he admitted to inconsistencies linked to evidence scans.

"This acknowledgement presents grave concerns about the Department's commitment to impartial justice, whether the Special Counsel's Office misled a federal court, whether the Special Counsel's Office strenuously upheld the "highest professional standards" of the Department of Justice," Jordan's new letter reads.

"Accordingly, we write to ask what steps the Department's Office of Professional Responsibility is undertaking to examine these facts and hold accountable attorneys who violated the standards of professional conduct."

Jordan has sent similar letters throwing suspicion on Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who accuses Trump of falsifying business records to cover up hush money paid to a porn star, and Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who accuses Trump of election racketeering in Georgia after his failed 2020 presidential election.

On X, Jordan's new angry letter debut was met with less than positive reviews.

"The only time Gym Jordan looks the other way is when he is covering up for people who have been accused or found liable of sexual assault," replied @ConservBlue2020.

"Jim is certainly working hard every day for the person he believes to be his most important client," Bill Lundeen added. "Trouble is, Jim has lost sight of what his job in DC actually is."

How about finishing just one investigation," requested @FakeWhiteKnight.

"When one of his investigations put someone in jail is when I’ll start paying attention to Jim Jordan," said Patti Hughes. "Tired of his hot air!"
