‘Would be concerned’: Pundit drops Premier League title claim involving Man City and Arsenal

Pundit Craig Burley has made a claim regarding how Arsenal will be feeling about Manchester City in the Premier League title race.

As things stand, City have three league games left to play and are just one point behind the Gunners, who only have two games remaining before the campaign draws to a close.

After seeing the Citizens beat Wolves 5-1 in their previous match, one pundit has shared his thoughts on this latest title pursuit and how Arsenal will be feeling about City’s hunt to win a fourth Premier League trophy in a row.

Speaking in a recent video shared on the ESPN FC YouTube channel, Burley had this to say about Arsenal’s hopes of winning the title.

He said: “Unless City slip up, I can’t see it.

“Tottenham are dishevelled at the moment, they look as if they have run the race. West Ham got pummelled, absolutely pummelled, Fulham away I believe it is [City’s next game].

“I mean, you can never say never, but if I was in the Arsenal dressing room, I would be concerned that they would run the table.”

Man City vs Arsenal

With 35 league games played, Pep Guardiola’s team have won 25, drawn seven and lost three, scoring 87 goals and conceding 33 along the way.

In comparison, the North London club have won 26 of their 36 matches, drawing five and losing five, finding the back of the net 88 times and letting just 28 goals in.

Taking into account the game advantage City have and the experience they have in terms of winning previous title races, it’s easy to see why Burley reckons that some figures in the Arsenal dressing room may be dismayed by what the Blues could do over the next couple of weeks in terms of winning their three remaining league games and being crowned champions again.
