New York Justice Juan Merchan denied a motion for a mistrial in Donald Trump's hush money case.

Todd Blanche, an attorney for Trump, argued in the filing that Tuesday morning's testimony from adult film star Stormy Daniels was too salacious for the jury to hear.

"We move for a mistrial based on the testimony this morning. The guardrails were thrown aside. That testimony was so unduly prejudicial to Trump," Blanche wrote, "and the charges in this case and the testimony about the incident in 2006 is way different from the stories she was pedaling in 2016."

The attorney said, "[T]estimony about being blacked out, not wearing a condom, the spacing in the room, the power dynamic" had nothing to do with the case.

There’s no way to unring the bell in our view," Blanche said.

Trump promoted the idea on his Trump Social platform.

"THE PROSECUTION, WHICH HAS NO CASE, HAS GONE TOO FAR. MISTRIAL!" he wrote.

In a statement, the Manhattan District Attorney's Office said the details provided by Daniels were central to the case.
