According to the report, Ukraine analyzed the wreckage of 21 out of the 50 North Korean ballistic missiles that Russia fired over two months to "assess the threat from Moscow's cooperation with Pyongyang."
“About half of the North Korean missiles lost their programmed trajectories and exploded in the air; in such cases the debris was not recovered,” Ukrainian officials said.
The most recent use of a KN-23 (Hwasong-11) missile by Russia was recorded on Feb. 27. As a result of attacks with these missiles since Dec. 30, 2023, 24 people have been killed and another 115 injured.

On May 1, the Center for Strategic Communications under Ukraine's Ministry of Culture stated that Russia is testing North Korean-made missiles in Ukraine.
"Russia is testing North Korean missiles in Ukraine just like it tested Iranian Shaheds [kamikaze drones] before they were used against Israel," the message said.
In early January, White House National Security spokesman John Kirby stated that Russia had struck Ukraine with North Korean ballistic missiles on Dec. 30, 2023, as well as Jan. 2 and Jan. 6, 2024
South Korean representative to the United Nations, Hwang Joon-kook, said North Korea is using Ukraine as a "testing ground" for ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
