Kyiv downs all missiles as Russia attacks Ukrainian capital from different directions in latest mass attack

"The enemy launched a missile attack on the capital — using Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers," the KMVA said.

"The air alert in the capital lasted for more than three hours. Rockets attacked Kyiv from different directions."

The Ukrainian Air Force will provide the exact number and type of missiles when the information becomes available.

The capital's air defense destroyed all targets, the KMVA noted.

No casualties or damage were immediately reported.

Russia staged another massive combined missile and drone attack overnight on May 8.

Several regions in Western Ukraine were targeted, causing NATO ally and neighbor Poland to again raise its planes to the sky.
