People close to £52m player think he could end up in England, Chelsea are in talks to sign him - journalist

Chelsea look to be in a good position to sign one winger ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Blues already have Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, Mykhailo Mudryk and Raheem Sterling.

They invested a lot in those players, with Mudryk being one of the club’s most expensive signings in history.

However, it looks like Chelsea are also thinking about the future and want to sign a young winger this summer.

In terms of outgoings, it has already been confirmed that Thiago Silva will be leaving the club to join Fluminense.

Chelsea target could move to the Premier League or Bundesliga

He will not be able to officially join Chelsea this summer because he is still 17 years of age.

However, according to journalist Ben Jacobs, the Blues are in talks to sign Estevao Willian from Palmeiras.

Jacobs has also claimed that people close to Estevao, who has a €60m (£51.6m) release clause, expect him to end up in either the Premier League or Bundesliga.

Estevao would not be the first Brazilian youngster to join Chelsea.

Since being taken over by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital, the club have already signed Deivid Washington, Angelo and Andrey Santos.

Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez the future of Chelsea?

Chelsea have not only being targeting young Brazilians. The Blues have also signed Ecuadorian midfielder Kendry Paez.

Paez looks destined to go far in the game, already an Ecuador international at just 17.

He recently scored a fantastic goal for his current team Independiente del Valle in a 1-0 win against Deportivo Cuenca and is confident he can hit the ground running at Chelsea.

With the young players they already have, Paez’s arrival and the addition of Estevao could make Chelsea a very exciting team to watch in the future. Of course, they have to get a deal for the latter over the line first but, as of now, it looks like they will.
