British Social media influencer Sophie Hinchliffe, known online as Mrs Hinch has sadly revealed the passing of her father, which happened ‘suddenly’ at the end of April.
The influencer took to her Instagram to share the devastating news with her 4.8 million followers on Wednesday, saying “our whole world, has been turned upside down.” It comes a year after the star, known for her ‘cleaning hacks’ took a break from social media as her father, Alan spent time in hospital.
Mrs Hinch announces sudden passing of her father
The 34-year-old posted a carousel of photos of her father to her social media. In the front one, the star can be seen emotionally hugging her dad on her wedding day.
“25th April 2024. My precious Dad passed suddenly but so peacefully whilst he slept,” she wrote in the caption. “My life, our whole world, has been turned upside down. A deep unimaginable pain I cannot put into words.
“My loving Dad, Our boys beloved Grandad, Your workshop is locked up and I sleep with the key. I promise to keep your workshop dream going.”
“Until we meet and sing together again. Goodnight Dad. My absolute king Your Bubberloo,” the mom of 2 emotionally concluded.
The star then ended the post with a quote about grief, which stated: “Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot.”
Fans and friends have since flooded the comments of the post with their condolences. “I’m so sorry Sophie. May he rest in paradise,” wrote former Love Island star Molly Mae.
Former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison penned: “I’m so sorry Soph, sending you all love.”
“From one daddy’s girl to another, I just want to say how sorry I am. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain. Sending so much love,” Laura Adlington wrote.
The star ‘named her son’ after her father
Alan had been involved with Sophie’s online career and had been involved with building furniture for her home.
Her father was also the inspiration behind her son’s name, Lennie Alan James Hinchcliffe.
In April last year, the star took a hiatus from social media as she revealed her father had spent time in hospital.
My dad is in hospital at the moment guys. My dad has never been blessed shall we say with fantastic health – from his chest, his lungs, his heart,” she said in a fresh video. “He’s always struggled, you know,” she informed her followers.
