Wolves player says £51m Man City star is the best he’s ever played with

Wolves attacker Hwang Hee-chan has named one Manchester City star as being the best player he’s ever played with.

During his time with the Old Gold, the South Korean has made 92 appearances across all competitions and scored 22 goals.

His latest goal and appearance for Wolves came during their recent 5-1 defeat to Pep Guardiola’s side at the Etihad Stadium last weekend.

Now though, the 28-year-old has pinpointed one particular figure at the Manchester club he holds in very high regard.

In a recent video shared on the official Wolves TikTok channel, numerous members of Gary O’Neil’s squad were asked to name the best players they’ve ever played with in their careers.

For his choice, Hwang picked Erling Haaland, who City paid £51m to sign during the 2022 summer transfer window.

Before joining Borussia Dortmund in the 2020 January transfer window, the striker spent one year at RB Salzburg.

During his time at the Austrian club, Haaland made 27 appearances and scored 29 goals in the process.

17 of those games saw the Norwegian share the pitch with Hwang, racking up 11 joint goal participations along the way.

Specifically, Haaland scored 10 goals assisted by the South Korean, who scored one that was assisted by the 23-year-old.

Haaland has been one of Europe’s top goalscorers

Having then gone on to score 86 goals in 89 appearances for Dortmund and 88 in 94 for City, as well as winning the Treble and breaking numerous records in his debut season at the Etihad Stadium, it comes as no surprise that the Wolves star has named his former Salzburg strike partner as the best he’s ever played with.

With the Norway international in with a chance of winning another FA Cup, Premier League and Golden Boot this season, if he were to get his hands on these trophies this month, this would strengthen his position as one of the best players in the country.
