‘Brilliant’ SPFL teenager’s father speaks about his future amid links to Celtic

Most of the Celtic headlines have been taken up with the big build-up to the Glasgow Derby on Saturday. And rightly so.

But I’m taking a wee breather from that just now to bring you a little update on a player who has recently been linked to Celtic.

We told back in November how Celtic were reportedly ‘keeping tabs‘ on young Motherwell sensation, Lennon Miller.

After a brilliant performance against Celtic in the 3-1 defeat earlier this season, former Celtic players and pundits have been urging Brendan Rodgers to take a look at the 17-year-old.

With a £2m price tag being suggested as a price tag that would be enough to capture his signature, it certainly seems like a no-brainer for Celtic to move for a player everyone has been talking about this season.

Lee Miller – ‘We’ll see what happens’

Not only has Miller been linked to Celtic [TEAMtalk] he has also been linked to Premier League teams down south as he continues his remarkable development at the SPFL side.

And because of that, the young Motherwell midfielder’s father, Lee Miller, who used to play for Dundee United and Aberdeen, was asked what the immediate future holds for his son.

Miller said [Scottish Football Podcast], “No you see things coming up on Twitter and stuff and different Facebook groups and that but Lennon is quite happy doing what he’s doing just now.

“He’s doing fine. He’s in a team where he’s allowed to play. He’s trusted as a first-team player and he’s just loving playing first-team football.

“He’s enjoying his time at Motherwell just know we’ll see what happens going forward.”

Boss, Stuart Kettlewell, has recently admitted that the talented youngster is the best player he has ever worked with as Miller’s reputation continues to grow.

Brendan Rodgers made a point of speaking to Miller after Celtic’s win at Fir Park and wished him all the best for the season ahead back in February.

Well, it seems that it worked as he could be on the verge of a big move as the Scotland u19 star continues to catch the eye of some of the biggest clubs in the UK.
