Tampa Police Need Your Help Identifying Stabbing Suspect

TAMPA, Fla. \- The Tampa Police Department is actively working to identify the suspect seen in a video related to a stabbing incident that took place on March 4, 2024, on the 1500 block of East 8th Avenue.

The victim, in this case, an adult male, was treated and released from the hospital for what were non-life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation, it was determined that the victim was experiencing homelessness.

In response, officers assigned to patrol and those assigned as homeless affairs liaisons have increased their proactive work with the homeless in an effort to generate possible leads in this case and remind those in need of available resources.

The Tampa Police Department works in partnership with a variety of organizations to assist those who are homeless. If you know someone in need, the following resources are available:

"We urge members of our community to report any suspicious activity to the police by contacting our nonemergency line at 813-231-6130 or dialing 911 in case of emergencies," said Tampa PD.
