Report: Scout who unearthed one Nottingham Forest player now set for City Ground move

A recruitment guru responsible for unearth two current Nottingham Forest players is now on his way to the football club.

The transfer window is almost upon us – and it looks as though Forest will be active once again.

This time it could be a more meticulous approach with more players being moved away from the City Ground than ones coming in.

With that in mind, the club have now moved to make a new appointment behind the scenes that will help in terms of recruitment.

Nottingham Forest will appoint Pedro Ferreira

With George Syrianos now back at the club in a recruitment role, it would appear that Forest are looking to add some meat to the honest in that department.

Mais Futebol has now confirmed that Pedro Ferreira will be swapping Benfica for Forest at the end of the current campaign.

Forest will appoint the man who has spent 15 years with the Portuguese giants, starting with them in 2010 having initially worked with the under-19s.

Interestingly, Nuno Tavares is currently on the books at Forest on loan from Arsenal and Ferreira was responsible for spotting him.

Forest have to get recruitment right this summer

It’s been a running joke for people not associated with Forest over how many players the club have signed since promotion.

In fairness, lessons were learned last summer and it’s vital that they continue to be this time around.

Appointing Ferriera could be an exciting addition and hopefully, he can help Forest cherry-pick some exciting talents for the squad.

Whilst Syrianos has been at the club, the players added on permanent deals have largely been good.

Now, Ferreira will work alongside the German recruitment guru and hopefully, Forest can enjoy a more savvy transfer window this summer.
