Arne Slot will really look forward to working with 'special' Liverpool youngster next season - opinion

There’s a ‘special’ young talent at Liverpool who Arne Slot will be excited to work with at the club next season.

Arne Slot is set to be appointed as Liverpool’s next manager. He is a coach with very similar principles to Jurgen Klopp in the way he wants his teams to play.

He’s not identical and does prefer a less direct build-up in comparison to Klopp. However, that could even be a benefit to Liverpool. Deviating a little bit from Klopp’s tactics will make the team less predictable.

There is one thing though where Liverpool cannot afford to compromise – and that is when it comes to the promotion of young talent.

Why Trey Nyoni could flourish under Arne Slot at Liverpool

Liverpool have shown this season that they have one of the best academies in England right now. A plethora of exciting young talent have come through the ranks under Jurgen Klopp this season.

Fortunately, Arne Slot, is a manager who has always enjoyed working with younger players. At Feyenoord and AZ Alkmaar, he regularly promoted players from the academy into the first team.

He also had a knack for getting the best out of every player.

Which is why he will be looking forward to working with Trey Nyoni, who is one of the most exciting young players at the club right now.

Who is Trey Nyoni and what has Jurgen Klopp said about him?

Nyoni joined Liverpool from Leicester City at the start of this season. He’s still only 16-years-old and became the third youngest player to play for the club behind Harvey Elliott and Jerome Sinclair when he made his debut against Southampton in the FA Cup earlier this season.

Described as part of a ‘special’ group of young players at the club by Jurgen Klopp, there are high hopes for Nyoni at the club.

He’s been regularly training with the first team this season. Under Slot, he will be hoping to get even more opportunities.
