'Unbelievable' Liverpool player must seriously consider his future after Arne Slot's arrival - opinion

With Arne Slot’s arrival, there’s an ‘unbelievable’ player who has to consider his future at Liverpool.

As Arne Slot looks likely to be appointed as Liverpool’s next manager, he will begin a new era at the club.

An era that will mean a fresh start for every Liverpool player. This may be both good and bad news for the club’s current squad.

There will be players who might get a second lease of life in their career in a red shirt, but there will be others who may be forced to leave and look for pastures new.

Why Kostas Tsimikas must consider his future at Liverpool

One of those players who should be considering his future at the club is Kostas Tsimikas. This is a new chapter in Liverpool’s history, and a fresh start should mean a new adventure for Tsimikas.

He’s now 27-years-old. He’s at an age where he should be playing regular football. He should not be satisfied sitting on the bench again.

In Slot’s system, the full-backs are required to be more defensive. They are not pushed up as high as in Klopp’s system.

Tsimikas was primarily signed as a player suited to Klopp’s system, so with Klopp now leaving it simply makes sense for Liverpool to sell.

How much could Liverpool get for Kostas Tsimikas?

In the past, Harvey Elliott has described Kostas Tsimikas as an ‘unbelievable’ player.

The Greek international has a wealth of experience playing at the top level, and he’s won multiple trophies with the club.

This season, he’s performed to high standards, and that means there should be plenty of clubs interested in his services.

With Michael Edwards back at the helm, Liverpool should realistically be looking at £15m-£20m for his services.
