‘I think’: Cesc Fabregas has now predicted who will win – Arsenal or Man Utd

Arsenal face Manchester United this weekend in what is one of the Premier League’s all-time great fixtures.

Historically, these two have been the most bitter of rivals. Their rivalry in the late 1990s and early 2000s defined the Premier League, and there’s still plenty of bad blood.

However, with that said, this game isn’t the spectacle it used to be.

Manchester United, this season, are a mid-table side in terrible form, while Arsenal are flying high at the top of the table.

With that said though, you can never take anything for granted at Old Trafford, and this could be a banana skin for Arsenal.

Speaking on the Planet Premier League Podcast, Cesc Fabregas has shared his verdict on how this game will go, and he’s backed his former team to get a win here.

Cesc Fabregas predicts Arsenal win

Fabregas shared his verdict on how this game will go.

“A derby is a derby, I consider it a big game, Arsenal and United have always been special games. It’s true that, at the moment, United are not at the level they were in the past, we can all agree with that. Arsenal are too strong for them at the moment,” Fabregas said.

“I do think Arsenal play by memory, they are confident, they believe, they have experienced, they have grown over the last year and improved.

“So yeah, I think Arsenal will win that game comfortably, I won’t say easy because United have the history and we have to respect that, but I consider United too strong at the moment.”

Arsenal are heavy favourites

Manchester United’s poor recent form means that Arsenal head into this game as heavy favourites.

The Gunners have been brilliant as of late, while United have been putrid, and it’s hard for anyone to logically predict anything other than an Arsenal win.

Manchester United can turn any team over at Old Trafford on their day, but it would be very naïve to tip United to win any game at the moment, let alone a match against arguably the best team in the Premier League right now.
