As part of a survey on how things are going for Donald Trump after almost two weeks of testimony in the hush money trial set to resume on Thursday in a Manhattan courtroom, more than one Politico reporter said the former president seems diminished physically even more over the past several days.

Specifically, the testimony of adult film star Stormy Daniels appears to be taking a huge toll on Trump as she recalls "humiliating" details of their tryst that led to his allegedly paying her $130,000 to keep quiet about it.

Posing the question over whether the now three-week-old trial is "getting to Trump," courtroom observers from Politico pointed out that the appearance of Daniels seems to have gotten to the former president.

According to Josh Gerstein, who landed a coveted seat in the courtroom, the more Daniels talked, the more the president appeared to fume.

He "had trouble controlling his reactions. There were different times when he started shifting around and seemed to be mumbling, and the judge eventually called him out for that, at least privately," Josh Gerstein reported with Ben Feuerherd adding, "The one main thing that I saw and that we’ve reported is that when Daniels was describing rolling up his magazine swatting him on the backside with it, Trump sort of laid back in his chair, and I saw in the feed that he mouthed, 'Bull---t.'"

Former federal prosecutor and current Politico contributor Ankush Khardori observed, "To my eyes, it does look like he’s a little slumped down in his appearances, even when he’s in front of a camera — not just the pictures and the reporting from within the courtroom."

That led Politico's Meredith McGraw to add, "I’m sure these are humiliating details to have talked about every day on the news. His people close to him have said that this is a kind of punishment for him in and of itself — that he obviously is not enjoying any of this."

"They’ve tried to make a political spectacle out of it, and they’ve tried to have these political events on the sidelines. He’s had sort of spirit-boosting events back at Mar-a-Lago where he’s been surrounded by allies, like when he was at Ronny Jackson’s birthday party this weekend," she continued before adding. "But being in trial, day after day, I’m sure is grueling and taxing. And you see, like you said, physically how it’s impacted him."
